Beavers, Villa, Records Career High in Loss to Ducks

EUGENE, Ore. – Jenna Villa scored a career-high 27 points, but Oregon State fell 96-73 on the road at Oregon on Wednesday night.

In addition to Villa's career day, the Beavers got 14 points, seven rebounds and five assists from Kennedie Shuler. Tiara Bolden added 16 points in her first game in her hometown since high school.

Lizzy Williamson rounded out the four Beavers in double figures with 10 points. She also blocked three shots.

OSU made 42.9 percent of its shots in the first half but couldn't overcome a hot-shooting effort from the Ducks who jumped out to a 57-27 halftime lead on 74.2 percent shooting.

Oregon State battled back in the third quarter, winning the period 24-15 behind seven points each from Bolden and Villa. Lizzy Williamson provided a presence in the post with five points in the frame.

The Beavers weren't able to complete the comeback in the fourth but continued to battle throughout the frame. Shuler and Villa scored eight points in the final quarter to lead the team.

Oregon State returns home for the first time in two weeks on Sunday to take on Alaska-Anchorage. The game is slated for a 1 p.m. tip on ESPN+
